Yeah, it's been tough. It's gonna get harder. Anyone who doesn't believe that is either naive or over-optimistic. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I fall into the latter category. But first things first.
It was hard
The health crisis changed the rules by which we lived, the model by which we worked, the values we held. Suddenly we found ourselves in a new model, a new matrix, where working from home is gaining more and more followers, personal interactions are fewer and fewer and often discouraged.
Many businesses in the service sector and beyond have drastically downsized. Some have simply closed down, others have adapted to the new reality, looking for ways to survive.
In my opinion, the Wood Industry was less affected, helped by domestic consumption. Many household budgets that would normally have gone towards services this year have been redirected to purchases for the home and all the comforts of home. In other words, there was an increased demand for new houses, for refurbishing or renovating old ones, for furniture and decorative items or simply for useful items in a scenario where the house becomes both a workplace and a home. This is a personal opinion, backed up by discussions with various industry managers. Some of them equally surprised by the new trend. But this trend will not last forever. It must be helped.
This is not the case for export producers who have felt this period differently. There, orders were not large or not at all. Because, in this case, we are talking about mature markets where consumers know how they need to gather in such a period.
It will be even harder
Again, this is a personal opinion. Why do I think that?! Because money simply doesn't circulate as much, trade has disappeared from the economy. Not all of it. You know what I mean. Some call it GDP, some call it turnover, some call it something else. The fact is that we no longer buy the things and services we used to buy, we no longer consume what we used to consume. Or not in the quantities that preceded the health crisis. Hence the business downturns that will follow and the related problems.
In addition to the need to overcome the period from a medical (sanitary, whatever you want to call it) point of view, in addition to the need to restore consumer confidence (because that's what we are) in all the markets and all the countries we trade with, I believe that there is also a repositioning of the goods/services consumed and the related volumes consumed. We will consume differently. In other words, for those of us who do business, there is coming a period where each of us at work (many at home) have to figure out what and how much we need to produce in order for those products to be bought. He has to find the pathways (new sales channels) by which he can attract consumers' attention to the products he sells. So ...
It's up to us to get it right
Although some of them have disappeared, the money is still in the market with customers. This is not a financial crisis. What is more, this unprecedented crisis is attracting unprecedented reactions, such as the European money that will be "dumped" on the market to encourage certain areas of development. In particular, eco and organic. It's just that they, the customers, no longer behave the way we used to. They don't consume as often or have moved their purchases to other channels. Maybe they don't visit their suppliers as often, maybe they don't go to trade fairs anymore (who knows when we'll meet again at BIFE for example). But they will be active in other channels. It's up to us to find these channels, to build them if they don't exist, to make sure that the customer discovers our product through these channels, to sell and grow. Go to the customer.
As an aside, I often hear I don't want advertising. I want to be discovered by the customer. Because I do quality things. We all make quality stuff!!! Name one who says about himself that he makes (and sells) a lousy thing. So if we all make quality stuff that will sell? Exactly! The ones that find the way (sales channel) to reach the person interested in them.
That's why we created Market.Market …
... a new sales channel for you, for us. We have created a new product that we at Wood Magazine believe is needed by both manufacturers and distributors in the Wood Industry and the market. Those who sell have a new sales channel and those who buy have an online space where they can find the best products used by professionals. In this way, we wanted to widen the market as much as possible. Professional products could also reach people who have woodworking as a hobby, for example. Or those who have to fix things in the house. Why not? Now, backed by the mountain of information on the internet (and in Wood Magazine) they can do anything.
Now, if you've read this far, you're really interested. Here's how it works
Market.Market is a marketplace. If you sell furniture, decorations, carpentry, flooring, tools, varnishes, paints, adhesives, tools, big and small machines, accessories and much more (even wooden houses and components), you can sell in this marketplace. That means you can be a Vendor too.
A Vendor is a seller in this marketplace. The Vendor is the one who presents his merchandise on Iscusit.Market, sets his prices, manages his stocks and customer orders. The seller has a dedicated administration module that does all these things. In other words, it has its own online shop in the Iscusit.Market online marketplace. And that in a matter of days.
Why would you do this? Why sell on Iscusit.Market? For all the reasons above and in addition because:
- It's a secure platform.
- It is built and managed by the same team that built and manages the platform WoodIndustry.News.
- We have been working in this industry for a long time and, coming from within, we want to help it grow.
- Now is the time to use all available sales channels.
- You ONLY pay commission if you sell. It costs you nothing if you don't sell. Except we don't even consider that scenario. Our marketing and sales expertise will be at your service.
So what are you waiting for? Sounds like a slogan, but where else can you find such a deal! To be able to sell in a market where your product is appreciated (or not) at its true value, among other similar products, in a place where, as we know, the professionals sell.
Contact us on the next page https://iscusit.market/vinde-si-tu/ or send us a message as you can. We'll get back to you.
