Clever.Market - a Wood Magazine product. Because we want to take things further

Yes, it was hard. It's going to get harder. Anyone who doesn't believe that is either naive or super-optimistic. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. And I'm in the second category. But let's start at the beginning.

It was hard

The health crisis changed the rules we lived by, the pattern we worked by, the values we held. Suddenly we found ourselves in a new model, a new matrix, where working from home is gaining more and more followers, personal interactions are fewer and often discouraged.

Many businesses in the service sector and beyond have drastically reduced their activity. Some have simply closed down, others have adapted to the new reality, looking for ways to survive.

In my opinion, the Wood Industry has been less affected, helped by domestic consumption. Many household budgets that would normally have gone towards services this year have been redirected towards purchases for the home and all the comforts that go with it. In other words, there has been increased demand for new houses, refurbishment or renovation of old ones, demand for furniture and decorative items or simply useful items in a scenario where the house becomes both a place to work and a home. This is a personal opinion, backed up by discussions with various industry managers. Some of them equally surprised by the new trend. But this trend will not last forever. It needs to be helped.

This is not the case for export producers who have felt the period differently. There, orders were not large or not at all. Because, in this case, we are talking about mature markets where consumers know how to gather themselves in such a period.

It will be even harder

This is again a personal opinion. Why do I think that?! Because money simply doesn't circulate as much anymore, trade has disappeared from the economy. Not all of it. You know what I mean. Some call it GDP, some call it turnover, some call it something else. What is certain is that we no longer buy the goods and services we used to buy, we no longer consume what we used to consume. Or not in the quantities we did before the health crisis. Hence the business declines that will follow and the problems that will follow.

In addition to the need to overcome the period from a medical (health, whatever you want to call it) point of view, in addition to the need to restore consumer confidence (because that's what we are) in all markets and in all countries with which we trade, I believe that there is also a need for a rebalancing of the goods/services consumed and the corresponding volumes consumed. We will consume differently. In other words, for those of us in business, there is a period ahead where each of us at work (many at home) has to figure out what and how much we need to produce in order for those products to be bought. He has to find the pathways (new sales channels) through which he can attract consumer attention to the products he sells. So ...

It's up to us to get it right

Although some of them have disappeared, the money is still in the market, with customers. We are not talking about a financial crisis. What is more, this unprecedented crisis is attracting unprecedented reactions, such as the European money that will be "thrown" into the market to encourage certain development directions. In particular, eco and organic. It's just that they, the customers, no longer behave as we used to. They don't consume as often or have moved their purchases to other channels. Maybe they don't visit their suppliers as often, maybe they won't go to trade fairs (who knows when we'll see each other again at BIFE for example). But they will be active in other channels. It's up to us to find these channels, to build them if they don't exist, to make the customer discover our product through these channels, to sell and grow. Let's go to the customer.

As an aside, I often hear I don't want the commercial. I want to be discovered by the customer. Because I make quality things. We all make quality stuff!!! Name me one who says about him that he makes (and sells) a bad thing. So if we all make quality stuff, which will sell? Exactly! The ones that find the way (the sales channel) by which they reach the one interested in them.

That's why we created Market.Market

... a new sales channel for you, for us. We have created a new product that we at Wood Magazine believe is needed by both manufacturers and distributors in the Wood Industry and the market. Those who sell have a new sales channel and those who buy have an online space where they can find the best products used by professionals. In this way, we wanted to broaden the market as much as possible. Professional products could also reach people who have woodworking as a hobby, for example. Or to those who have to fix things around the house. Why not? Now, backed by the mountain of information on the internet (and in Wood Magazine) they can do anything.

Now, if you've read this far, you must really be interested. Here's how Clever.Market works

Market.Market is a marketplace. If you sell furniture, decorations, carpentry, flooring, tools, varnishes, paints, adhesives, tools, big and small machines, accessories and much more (even wooden houses and components) you can sell in this marketplace. That means you can be a Vendor too.

A Vendor is a seller in this market. The Vendor is the one who presents his goods on Iscusit.Market, sets his prices, manages his stocks and orders from customers. The Vendor has a dedicated administration module with which it does all these things. In other words, it has its own online shop in the Iscusit.Market online marketplace. And that's within days.

Why would you do this? Why sell on Skilled.Market? For all of the above reasons and in addition because:

  • It is a secure platform.
  • It is built and managed by the same team that built and manages the platform WoodIndustry.News.
  • We have been working in this industry for a long time and, coming from within, we want to help it grow.
  • Now is the time to use all available sales channels.
  • You pay commission ONLY if you sell. It costs you nothing if you don't sell. Except we don't even consider this scenario. Our marketing and sales expertise will be at your disposal.

So what are you waiting for? Sounds like a slogan, but where else can you find such an offer?! To be able to sell in a market where your product is appreciated (or not) at its true value, among other similar products, in a place where professionals are known to sell.
