Furniture Production Machinery

With a CNC you can have a profitable business even if you are the only employee of the company

Faggio Ecomob means Gigi Băjeu, a graphic designer with experience in advertising production and WM-2128 ATC, the intelligent machine that can work without assistance. He started his business with a CNC for linear flow, which he upgraded to be able to produce milled MDF panels. So instead of the old CNC, which could not cope with the new requirements, he bought a CNC CNC CNC WoodMaticwith nesting table and tool shed.

Most people who make chipboard furniture in small workshops or factories buy doors that are profiled, painted or rolled. This allows them to produce furniture that more easily bends to customer requirements. Gigi Băjeu of Faggio Ecomob in Bucharest saw the opportunity and started a small business, producing profiled MDF fronts on demand. He was able to develop a business using a single machine - a CNC - and being the company's only employee. The results of the last few months mean that he is still thinking about further developing the business and finding new colleagues to share the business with.

MDF boards can be processed and painted to create an unlimited number of patterns

Introduction MDF boards in custom furniture making has greatly diversified the designs and allowed designers to let their imagination run wild. As opposed to cut and carved chipboard, doors can be profiled in different ways or cut into rounded shapes and then painted in classic or modern colors. This produces furniture in a variety of styles, and the possibilities for profiling the boards make them look more and more like painted wood.

Using MDF not only has the advantage of easy and diverse processing. The board is stable and there is no problem of dimensional variation due to variations in environmental humidity. After profiling, the doors can be painted with resistant materials so that the furniture can be used without problems in damp environments such as bathrooms or kitchens. The profile also allows the use of skids and artificial weathering, as with wood.

Advantages of the WoodMatic nesting table CNC

The CNC WoodMatic WM-2128 ATC with nesting table and tool magazine is equipped with Yaskawa servomotors from Japan, Herion rack and pinion system from Germany, Syntec Control System control unit from Taiwan and 12-position linear tool magazine with ATC control. It has 2100 x 2800 mm table dimensions on which the board can be machined easily and with maximum efficiency.

The nesting table enables production efficiency and material savings. In fact, nesting is the technology that, based on existing models, finds the best placement of the elements on the MDF board and optimizes the cutting path to minimize the working time so that the minimum amount of waste is produced. It then generates a cutting order and the numerical code of each operation required by the CNC to perform these operations.

Nesting has important advantages:

  • Increase productivity by reducing working time
  • Efficient use of material
  • Reducing waste
  • Reducing labor costs.
A smart machine business
