SCM Group appoints Pietro Gheller Director of SCM Wood Division

SCM Group has announced the appointment of Pietro Gheller as Director of the Wood Division. Gheller succeeds Luigi De Vito, who continues in his role as Managing Director of SCM Group. This appointment marks an important step in the company's commitment to improve its global operations and strengthen its leadership position in the industrial machinery sector.

Pietro Gheller, born in Vicenza 48 years ago, has a wealth of professional and academic experience. He attended the International Business Program at the Stockholm School of Economics in 1997 and graduated in 1999 from Bocconi University in Milan, majoring in Business Economics. Throughout his career, which began in 2000, Gheller has held positions as a consultant in strategic areas, manager in sales, commercial marketing and sourcing, working for major Italian companies, multinationals in Italy and abroad, in sectors such as FMCG, consumer durables and industrial machinery.

In 2019, he joined SCM Group as Sales&Markets Director in the Wood Division, managing the management of more than twenty branches of the group and the entire operational sales network in Italy and abroad. Under his commercial guidance, SCM intensified its direct presence in key markets, opening new branches in Turkey, India, South-East Asia and the Balkans, and establishing strategic commercial partnerships, such as the one with the Swedish company Randek AB in the wood structural building systems sector.

In 2022, he was appointed Product&Markets Director at SCM, taking over the management of the business divisions and thus of the various technologies that make up the group's vast range of products dedicated to the entire secondary wood processing industry.

Effective April 11, 2024, Gheller assumed leadership of the Wood Division, managing SCM's industrial and customer relations departments, along with technology and business development.
