Elias Kleespies and Felix Wilhelm are two talented youngsters who will represent Germany at the WorldSkills Lyon 2024 in September. In the training session, Kleespies and Wilhelm presented precise joining techniques that were very well executed, demonstrating meticulous precision and clean execution. Felix Wilhelm provided an example of joint execution, and the WorldSkills expert remarked on the quality of execution, praising the clean connections and half-millimetre dimensional tolerance.
The two young carpenters have an intense period of preparation before the competition. The session also included training on a cabinet model made at a previous competition, with the two receiving advice on veneer application and timing. The whole process involves completing a piece in a strict time frame, with every detail from connections to finishing being rigorously checked. Joints will be assessed before and after bonding, with every detail being followed, without any saw or adhesive marks.
