La Piantata is an agritourism guesthouse in the region of Lazio, Italy. It is located in a beautiful hilly region, a few kilometres from Lake Bolsena and the ancient town of Tuscania. So far nothing sensational, you might say. A guesthouse in a beautiful tourist area, like so many others in Italy. What's so special about La Piantata? Two tree houses, built of wood about eight metres above the ground.
Luxury apartments above ground in a secular oak or pine tree
The cottages have a panoramic view of the estate, which includes an orchard with over 1800 centuries-old olive trees and 12 hectares of lavender. They have been built without damaging the trees, and everything has been done with great respect for the environment.
The Blue Suite, as one of the cottages is called, is built in a centuries-old oak tree. Secluded, away from the noise, pollution and problems of the city, the house invites you to rest and dream. It has an area of 44 sqm in which we find a bedroom, a perfectly equipped bathroom and a superb terrace.
The second box, Black Cabin, is in a two-century-old pine tree. It's a true luxury apartment, 87 square metres in size, and the designers used natural textiles, linen and cotton, combined with Canadian cedar, steel and glass. The sophisticated design, so attentive to detail, has given life to an exclusive ambience. The house is luxurious but also high-tech, with LED lights, modern full HD TV and home cinema system.
The place is gorgeous and although it is exclusive, nothing stops us from dreaming. The photos below are sure to help with that. And if you'd like more information, log on to here.
