What is a pneumatic nail gun

A nail gun is a very suitable tool for a builder. It basically replaces the hand hammer and the labor of several workers. Nails are forcibly driven into wood or other materials (plastic, aluminum) using compressed air, an electromagnetic system, gas cartridges or a small explosive charge.

The first pneumatic gun was sold in the 1950s and was used to fix wooden floors faster. With this gun the worker worked standing upright and could 'pound' between 40 and 60 nails per minute. The capacity was between 400 and 600 nails.

How it works

The pneumatic gun is the most popular and widely used. The force with which the nail is pushed into the wood comes from the compressed air that is typically generated by a compressor. The air drives a piston. When the air pressure above the top of the piston is higher than that below it, the piston is actuated and pushes the nail. At the same time the amount of pressure changes (the top pressure becomes lower than the bottom pressure) and the piston retracts.

By squeezing the trigger, the valve to the atmospheric air is basically closed and the valve to the compressed air is opened. This pushes the piston that acts on the nail and pushes it with the necessary force to break through wood, drywall, plastic or aluminum.

What it can be used for

It's the ideal tool for those who work in the construction industry and have to panel walls, install wooden floors, fastening guards or other such tasks requiring the use of a large number of nails. The construction of roofing, fixing roofing shingles or loft construction will be done in much less time using such a gun.

If you have projects that mean hammering a lot of nails, the air gun will save you time and energy.

Features of the pneumatic nail gun B18N18-0

The B18N18-0 pistol uses Vaccum Drive technology which allows it to operate without the need for a compressor and without the operator being hindered by the hose that connects the pistol to the compressor. Unlike conventional pistols, the pressure differential required to drive the system that forcefully releases the nail is achieved by means of the vaccum.

The main features of the gun are:

  • total weight of 3.6 kg
  • voltage 18 V
  • Li-ion battery
  • brushless motor technology
  • uses nails with a length between 15.9mm and 55 mm and a maximum diameter of 1.2 mm
  • magazine capacity 105
  • comes in its own box.
How to use the gun

This is the sequence of operations when preparing to use the nail gun:

  1. Feeding the magazine with nails,
  2. Function check on a separate piece of wood,
  3. Fixing the gun on the place where the nailing will be done,
  4. Trigger,
  5. Removing the gun from the surface.

It is very important to use protective equipment and especially safety glasses.

If you are builder surely the below video will awaken your desire to have such tools. Now is the time to take advantage of the offer. Good luck and good luck!
