Wood-Mizer expands its product range with CNC machines

Wood-Mizer has developed an advanced range of CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machines to provide maximum performance, precision and fully automatic machining of wood, plastics, composites and light alloys.

Wood-Mizer CNC machine range includes:

Wood-Mizer CNC machines are designed as highly flexible machining centers that can be equipped with optional accessories and functionality, including a range of CNC attachments, CAM software compatibility, an oscillating cutting head, additional suction cups and vacuum plates, protective gates/optical curtains around the machine, lasers for material positioning and more.

CNC5003 Wood-Mizer - the first product in the range

The CNC5003 is a 3- and 4-axis machining centre designed for automated machining of wood, plastic, composites and light alloys in art and craft workshops, as well as in medium and large companies producing sophisticated components for the construction of kitchens, furniture, houses and more.

The CNC5003 is based on a console design with a dual drive unit for stability and precision, a 12-position automatic carousel tool changer mounted on the console for quick tool changes and a multi-zone vacuum table for safe and flexible material positioning.

The machining centre has a powerful electro-spindle assisted by high-resolution digital servo units for precision and minimal vibration.

All operations are supervised from a mobile operating panel with Fanuc's renowned controller for advanced functionality and lifetime parts availability. In addition, the operating panel provides an interface to PC and CAM software and a built-in server controller.

The fast and precise 3-axis head operates on a multi-zone vacuum table, which allows processing of flat material up to 3000 x 1500 mm. The table is constructed in six zones with 216 individual vacuum points to provide a wide variety of configurations. The spindle is equipped with a reliable and highly efficient dust extraction system to maintain a clean working environment.
