Everyone is familiar with the famous sliding barn doors, "barn door" if you go by their origin. The deadline was approaching, I had to move and I had no doors in my apartment. I didn't have the time to build them all, but I saved a space for one, the closet, the others having been ordered. As the access was through a rather narrow hallway, a classic hinged door was not feasible, so I had the opportunity to build a famous barn door, the barn door, with the sliding system.
As there was no need for a hinge, the door needed to be a few centimeters wider on the sides and a few centimeters taller on the height.
The door itself is a sandwich composed of three layers, two outer layers made of spruce wood and an interior one from a OSB plywood 8mm.
With the final measurements of the door known we cut the OSB plywood to 2100 x 700 mm. The plank sizing followed, requiring 24 pieces 175 x 700 x 16 mm.
With all the components ready, assembly followed. The boards were glued with adhesive to the OSB plywood, followed by the finishing part. After a sanding Two coats of bath and one of wax for protection.
The wooden part basically finishes here, followed by the other component of the spectrum, the iron. From this point on, the work proceeded with fastening the platband to the wooden door frame and designing the sliding system.

Hello. Can you tell me where you purchased the castors? Thank you!
Hello,
Wheels can be found in almost all DIY stores in our country.
Good riddance!
Honestly I would have made a rail mask too. It looks like hell that way!
The door handle and wheels are part of the menu of such a door.
That looks great!
Good riddance!

I don't think I understand exactly how you installed the unidirectional roller on the wall that prevents the door from swinging. Can one or two photos be taken?
Hello,
I have sent you an e-mail with the information you requested.
Good riddance!
Hi, I don't understand what I have to do for the bottom guide either...can you help me?
Hello.
The door looks fantastic. I'd like to do something like this for a built-in cabinet under a beam. Basically I want to have 3 doors hanging from the beam, that "walk" in front of 4 closets - 3 for clothes + 1 open to be a bookcase. Please if you can give me details of how I could replace the unidirectional roller, as I have nowhere to put it, my wall is actually the cupboards and I don't want to put the floor down either.
Thank you.
Hello. F frum! We also want a bathroom door like this. Can you give me more details by email, please? What is the fastening system for the one-dimensional castor? We would like to make it ourselves because the price of the ones already made is a bit high. Thank you.
Hello. Can such a door be attached to a plasterboard wall? Thank you
