Imm Cologne 2025 returns with new formats

Imm Cologne, one of the world's largest furniture and interior design fairs, will take place from 12 to 16 January 2025 at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany. The organisers have recently announced the end of the early booking period and the availability of bookings on standard terms for companies wishing to participate as exhibitors.

Bernd Sanden, director of imm cologne, said, "Last year, we developed a theme that perfectly fits the times we live in with our Connecting Communities concept. We will bring this core theme to life with a smart and innovative approach that focuses on relevant content and new offerings - this is central to our plans."

For the 2025 edition, Koelnmesse has prepared a number of new exhibition formats, designed to offer suitable options for all types of exhibitors, from innovative start-ups to established companies. In addition to the classic stands, new concepts such as Interior Platforms (complete, design-oriented stands available as all-inclusive packages) and Pure Galleries (a format dedicated to premium interior design companies) will also be available.

Dick Spierenburg, creative director of imm cologne, added: "This year, we established an innovative trade fair format with The Circles. It's a concept we really believe in and we will continue in this new direction we have started. We have surprises in store in several areas and we will give an extra boost to the dialogue between industry professionals to strengthen it even more."

Special emphasis will be placed on the "Connecting Communities" theme, launched at the previous edition, which aims to facilitate interaction and networking between industry professionals. To this end, special events such as The Circles - inspirational design installations, talks and catering areas that encourage the exchange of ideas and address topical issues such as sustainability and circularity - will be organised.

A joint summit of the German furniture industry trade associations (VDM and BVDM) will also be held at imm cologne 2025 in collaboration with Koelnmesse to discuss the current state of the sector.

As in previous years, organisers expect exhibitors from over 35 countries, with a strong presence from Germany and Denmark, to showcase the latest products and innovations in interior design at imm cologne 2025.
