I don't think there's anyone who says they have enough storage space, but I don't think there's many people who want a house full of cupboards, where you're constantly scrubbing and bumping into a piece of furniture. And yet, we all have lots of things we use every day - clothes, shoes, books, cosmetics and many, many more - but also a problem finding a place for them. That's why maybe a few suggestions would help.

Another way of looking at narrow spaces

Making the most intelligent use of walls and narrow spaces is one of the ideas. There are spaces in the bathroom, for example, above the door or above the toilet that are not always used. With minimal fittings, you can get a place for towels or cosmetics.

Narrow and seemingly unusable spaces between doors or behind doors can, with a little imagination, become a place to put books, magazines or small boxes of useful items.

In taller houses, spaces close to the ceiling can be used for storage. Poles can be made on which baskets or boxes can be placed. Shelves can also be made around windows, providing a pleasant place to read or relax.
