From designers, about rustic style

The rustic interior is characterised by simplicity and warmth. It is often preferred because each characteristic element - furniture, beams, floorboards - is equally functional and decorative. Everything is tied together, round, there is no stars among the decor elements, only the rustic atmosphere that dominates. In such an interior the presence of wood is normal and natural. It integrates very well and combines with the other elements - fabrics, stone, metal - to convey a unified message together.

What's great about rustic style is that it combines with elements of other styles, covering practically all tastes. So we can also enjoy the features of our favourite styles without losing the functionality, affordability and atmosphere of home of the rustic style. Combinations can result in Mediterranean rustic interiors with elements of classic French or Italian style, Scandinavian rustic - white and minimalist - modern rustic - simple and functional, industrial style with interesting metallic elements or oriental rustic with unmistakable elements of Japanese design or Chinese. To give you an idea of how well these styles can be combined, I will briefly present them below.

A variant of the modern rustic is rustic industrial stylewhere the modern is represented by metal elements - stairs, chairs, tables, lamps. It's a youthful style, reminiscent of studenthood and improvisation. The wooden elements of the house, the rustic furnishings, are highlighted by the metal ones and vice versa. The colours are muted, with dominant metallic accents. Everything blends and combines, resulting in a welcoming, youthful and harmonious interior.

Eastern Rustic

Rustic oriental style combines the classic simplicity of the rustic style with the exotic oriental style. There are interiors where you can find elements of oriental style, such as low tea tables, wooden screens carved with dragons, straight sliding doors, prints, fabrics. They combine harmoniously with wood-panelled walls, rustic floors or wooden coffered ceilings. Together they form an inviting and warm decor with the aroma of tea and the smell of scented sticks.
