Deco&Design - Manufacture of wooden houses

Do you produce wooden stairs? Save time by working with a specialist staircase design company

If you are a manufacturer of wooden stairs you are, first and foremost, passionate about wood. Few people work with wood just because it's the right thing to do, there's no place else. Working with wood is not easy, but if it is done with passion it becomes easy. The things that come out of the hands of the passionate are true works of art made with inspiration and meticulousness. When you have to make a staircase in a house, it's not just about how beautiful it will come out, but also how well it will fit into the dedicated space, how easy it will be to use, how harmonized it will be with the decor. All of this can be done by a company specialising in wooden staircase design, which will take calculations, technical drawings and analysis of the limitations of the space in question off your hands. Such a service is offered by Dipproject by Dippanels.

Functionality combined with design

Limiting it to the practicality of a ladder narrows the horizon a lot. Indeed, the ladder must take you to safety from one level to another. This is its main purpose. But it can't be done anyway. You can't make a staircase without thinking about where it's best placed, what kind of staircase will fit in that space, and not least, how it will fit into the architecture of the house and add value as far as possible.

The staircase can become as much a feature of a home as a piece of furniture or a design object. It's all about imagination, calculation and analysis. Imagination provides the attraction, calculation and analysis tell you whether the fruit of your imagination will be useful and safe. Specialised design has the means to check assumptions and design them in 3D. This way, each hypothesis can be analysed and finally the one that best combines functionality with design can be chosen.

But all these operations are time-consuming. Time that a woodworker can use to do what they do best - work with wood. Outsourcing staircase design With a specialist firm, the design time will be reduced, the most suitable and safe option will be chosen and the time saved can be used for other woodwork.

Things to consider when choosing a type of wooden staircase

In theory, any scale model can be made in any home. But only in theory, because in practice there are issues that limit the options. Choosing a model should be based on some information:

  • the difference between the two levels. For example, if the distance is less than 2.5 m you can make a straight staircase and if it is more than 3 m you can make an angled staircase, which deviates below a certain angle from the straight line;
  • the space it can occupy on the ground;
  • the weight of the ladder and what it will need to support: risers, handrail, pillars, balusters;
  • the arrangement of windows, doors and other important elements to be left clear, avoiding obstruction of entrances and access routes;
  • position of the ladder: in the corner, along the wall, in the centre of the room.

All this information will lead to a reduced number of options. These, in turn, need to be analysed and calculated identifying the most suitable option for the project under consideration.

How Dipproject can help you

Dipproject, a company specialising in wooden staircase design, can help you with the entire design process, and provide 3D models for you to present to the client. The design will start from the information you will provide following full measurements. So that you don't miss any important information, you will receive a form from Dipproject with the necessary data. All you have to do is fill in the form. Based on this data, calculations and analyses will be made, which will result in the 3D models presented to clients.

Once you have the customer's acod, each element of the ladder will be processed and you will receive the data according to the equipment in your workshop. If you are a fan of classical machining, you will receive 1:1 templates with all the details noted on them so that any mistakes can be avoided. The location of holes, cut-outs or bumps will be precisely marked. At the end they will fit perfectly, reducing working time and material loss.

If your workshop is equipped with CNC you will receive the DXF files and production details to process on the machining centre. They will be adapted according to the type of CNC - 3, 4 or 5 axis. Again, this will save time and material.

In order to get things done correctly and in the shortest possible time, everyone has to do what they know best and are trained to do. This is also the case with wooden stairs. The design and execution of stairs are two different operations, each requiring knowledge and skills, and it is best to have them done by specialist firms or people.
