Wood-Mizer celebrates 40 years in business

In 1982, two entrepreneurs, Don Laskowski and Dan Tekulve, designed and manufactured a new type of saw that represented a real innovation for the woodworking industry. The first portable Wood-Mizer saw was designed to be efficient, cost-effective and simple to operate so that anyone, anywhere, could safely turn logs into lumber. By using thin saw blades, more planks were obtained from each log, less energy was used for operation, and fallen trees in the forest or in towns could be processed and harvested by operators on site. Over the years, Wood-Mizer has become a global leader serving individual operators and companies around the world.
