Wood-Mizer LT70WIDE HEAVY-DUTY processing line

Wood-Mizer announces a new LIVE broadcast featuring Wood-Mizer's heavy-duty, heavy-duty saw model, the LT70 HEAVY-DUTY, which works in conjunction with the EG300 circular saw, loading ramps and a sorting table.

Wood-Mizer's team of engineers designed the production line shown to meet individual customer requirements. This team specializes in developing various cutting systems for customers looking for ways to reduce installation, operation and maintenance costs while producing more wood and less waste and reducing labor requirements.

Hosted by Adam Kubiak, Industrial Sales Manager, one of Wood-Mizer's leading engineers, who looks forward to sharing his knowledge and experience on industrial machining solutions.

The processing line presented during the LIVE broadcast consists of:
- LT70 HEAVY-DUTY saw
- EG300 Multi-blade Circular Planer
- Sorting table
- 2.7-m long chain conveyor with control unit
- Log loading ramp
- LT70 remote control station

In the centre of the line is the saw LT70 HEAVY-DUTY, a combination of two proven Wood-Mizer saws - the LT70 wide cutting head and the advanced WM4000 industrial saw bed. By combining these particular features of the two machines, Wood-Mizer has created an impressively efficient and fast saw, while maintaining low maintenance and ease of use.

The LT70 HEAVY-DUTY saw is a solution for high-volume woodworking companies. It features a solid head capable of accurately cutting 95 cm wide logs, assisted by an automatic plank thickness setting device, electrically adjustable blade guide arm, automatic blade lubrication system, a peeler and a laser sight. The operator controls the machine from a remote station positioned in the most comfortable place next to the saw.

The HEAVY-DUTY saw has a large, solid bed supported by a super-hydraulic system for quick and easy handling of large logs. The bed holds a sturdy central log clamp on two rods, an absorbing roller, a short conveyor belt, two clamping rollers on double rollers, a bi-directional chain log return mechanism and three double vertical supports. This configuration can be upgraded with additional bed sections, log loading deck, sorting table or raised bed legs for better integration into existing processing systems.
