House by the lake, this is how we baptized the timberframe passive house built by Litarh for the Iosif family. It is located in the commune of Pantelimon, near Bucharest and although it's not on the lakeshore, it's close enough to see it from the street.
This is not the first time I've told you about this house. I have told you here about Ion Iosif and how much research he did before choosing the type of house and builder. It's what we recommend to everyone who decides to build a house, no matter how and by whom it will be done. A well-designed and built home will be easier and cheaper to maintain and operate.
We set out to document each project as thoroughly and thoroughly as possible so that they are important sources of information. This is what we do with House by the lake. On drumulsprecasa.ro have the project presented in detail, including videos and photos taken by the owner.
The first level of the house was erected in 4 days
The first level of the house, including the floor, was assembled in 4 days. According to the vicissitudes experienced with the foundationThe first walls were put in place, which was a moment of great emotion for Ion. You can see him here, almost speechless with excitement, as the walls were unloaded from the truck by crane and fixed in place. By the end of the first day's assembly the exterior walls of the house were mounted on the sole, giving shape to the dream.
The next day all the partitions were installed and the house started to look like the architectural plans. By the end of the second day the ground floor was complete, with exterior walls and rooms enclosed. The third day was spent assembling the external scaffolding needed to securely fix the floor. And on the fourth day, the floor components were fixed with precision. You can watch the execution of these steps in episodes 2 and 3 of series House by the lake from the cycle The way home.
Professional design and execution make the construction elements fit together perfectly
In episode 3, which you can find at the end of the article, there are a few moments when the elements brought in by crane are put in place according to plan, between other elements and fit perfectly. The plan is followed by Litarh's design engineer, also on site. That precision means very good collaboration between Creative Engineering, which did the design of the structure and energy configurationLitarh's design department and the factory where each construction element was made. From this precision comes the speed with which a timber-frame house is built with prefabricated elements and the clean site, because there are no improvisations, and on-site adjustments are greatly reduced.
Now, watching the movie again, especially those drone images, I feel like I'm watching a Lego game and I expect that somewhere nearby the giant child will appear, assembling the floor elements. The giant child doesn't come, instead there are a couple of workers who, from the height of the drone, look like little ants determined that everything will go according to plan, which is to say perfectly.
I'll let you see how the fourth day of editing went.
