I was at the official launch of the documentary film "The Wood Road. The Music of Wood", produced by ASFOR

On 14 December, in the presence of journalists, the documentary film "The Wood Road. The Music of Wood". It is the second documentary film in ASFOR's "The Wood Road" series.

„The film is dedicated to those who bring wood to life. A documentary film describing the importance of wood and its countless uses. After a visit to a factory where wooden slabs are produced - Kronospan in Brasov - the film presents two emblems of Reghin: the workshops of master woodworker Vasile Gliga and the HORA SA musical instrument factory. The town of Reghin is a landmark on the map of the musical world. Violins, violas, violas, double basses and guitars made in Reghin can be found on all the great stages of the world.

ASFOR promotes sustainable and professional forest management, the correct exploitation of forest resources and high timber value. Wood is an important resource that Romania has in abundance. At a time when the benefits of using wood are being rediscovered globally - from high-rise wooden buildings to microchips - our country can make a breakthrough in terms of economic development and carbon footprint reduction.

ASFOR wants to present the complexity of the relationship between man, forest and wood in a fair and balanced way. Beyond all the asperities between people, the functions of the forest are the same: social, economic and environmental. And it is the task of forestry professionals to ensure this balance."
