Adapting to the present, Danibrum shapes the future

It is the time of the strong. How we get through difficult times, how we turn the hard times in our favour, makes all the difference and divides us, not infrequently, into losers and winners. This pandemic is also a difficult and impactful time in the lives of all of us. I don't think there is anyone who would deny this. The way we lived and worked suddenly changed, we found ourselves in a new reality, and the uncertainty of the future has taken its toll on all of us. But just like that well-known kick that gives you the opportunity to step forward, this pandemic can help us to position ourselves better and more thoroughly in the market, to prepare the ground for a successful future. That's how the Danibrum. He has used this time to strengthen the technical and sales teams, to find the best and most effective ways to be with customers and to develop and deepen the relationship with suppliers.

In the midst of development, came the pandemic

At the beginning of this year, Danibrum was in the process of growth and development. The last few years had been used to make the company and the machines sold under the brands Lohmeyer, Holzmann, Festool and Danibrum, the company's technicians showed fairground skills, home events and customer visits. Constant online presence has allowed us to get closer to our customers, respond quickly to their requests and increase awareness. All this has increased the demand for machinery and the year started with many deliveries from Germany to Danibrum and from there on to customers. Technicians were overworked, dividing their time between commissioning and regular visits to customers for checks and maintenance. And suddenly, everything was put on stand-by.

There came that rough period at the beginning of the pandemic, when nobody knew anything, only emergencies worked and we were all forced to stay indoors. But the machines had been delivered to customers and had to be put into operation. The beneficiaries also wanted to use the moment to install their new machines and learn to work as well as possible on them. There were only two choices - shut everything down or find an alternative that would allow the most secure interaction with the customer so that much needed information could be passed on.

"The new Covid 19 pandemic situation caught us in the process of developing procedures to streamline the processes of sale, delivery, commissioning and subsequent maintenance or after sales service. Because travel and maintenance visits were limited, in order to comply with the measures imposed by the authorities, we created a remote consultancy service, whereby customers benefited from our expertise through explanatory videos and one-to-one video consultancy. This system has helped ensure workflow and facilitate the procurement process." -Mihai Vatavu, general manager Danibrum Romania.

The future is technology

And so a remote helpdesk service was born that reduces intervention time and allows the customer to quickly solve problems as soon as they arise. In addition, videos of the machines in the warehouse have been published on the youtube channel Danibrum - Woodworking Machinery to be accessed whenever needed. Because the future is about technology, and technology is not just about the machine itself, but also about how we interact with each other and how quickly information is transmitted and used.

The same service that made remote interaction with the customer possible also made it possible to organise refresher courses for technical and sales teams. With the help and support of Lohmeyer's partners, the technicians were able to use this time to improve their technical knowledge of the operation of conventional woodworking machines and to learn the latest news about CNC equipment and their equipment.

"There was no shortage of training sessions for the service and sales teams. We made the most of this respite to educate and professionalise ourselves. Because our customers' results depend to a large extent on our expertise and our ability to respond to their needs correctly." - Mihai told us.

We believe in the future and in our strengths

Now, after 6 months of working differently and continuing concern for the safety of customers and employees, Danibrum seems more confident in its strengths and more confident in the future than ever. It has prepared for autumn with a new look and special offers for customers. Even though restrictions did not allow participation in the BIFE-SIM trade fair, the event of the autumn under normal conditions, Danibrum is using all channels to make its plans, determination and confidence known for the period ahead.

"Because every difficult situation comes to an end, we wanted to come before our customers with special offers, including machine packages designed according to the targeted field of activity. The StartUp Nation project, along with other funding measures for businesses, find us this year with carefully chosen product packages to fully and efficiently equip a woodworking workshop. In these uncertain times, we are more ready than ever, eager to get back to the daily grind."

So, together with partners and suppliers, Danibrum is ready to to shape the future!
