On Saturday, October 29, 2022, Wood-Mizer Customer Day took place in Sibiu. The meeting held at the Redal exhibition center resumed a tradition interrupted in 2019 and celebrated 14 years of Wood-Mizer in Romania. As we anticipated when we recommend that you attend, was an important event, awaited by Wood-Mizer customers in Romania, a meeting with a lot of technical information, with live demonstrations in which guests saw the machines at work, interacted with each other to share their experience as beneficiaries of the machines. The meeting was dynamic, dense, participants asked questions and got answers, some even bought. There were also moments of relaxation during lunch, when local folk music and a raffle with prizes heated up the atmosphere even more. All in all, a well-organised and managed all-round event, the kind of meeting that brings people together and creates opportunities.
A tour of the machines distributed by Wood-Mizer in Romania
As the event started at 10 am, we rushed to leave Bucharest very early in the morning to arrive on time. We arrived even earlier, at 9 am. The parking lot was already full and many guests already in the hall, milling around the machines. It was further proof that we missed such events, we missed the direct interaction and exchange of ideas and information.
The event hall was divided into two, one part dedicated to machinery and presentations and the other for lunch and relaxation. The machines, both primary and secondary processing, have been placed in an airy position to allow as large a group of visitors as possible to see them during the live demonstrations. The presentation was given by the company director, Adrian Echert, with the team always on hand to help. For each machine, the technical references were first reviewed, followed by the practical demonstration. At the end, a question and answer session cleared up any doubts. All the time Adrian encouraged the audience to exchange impressions, to share their experience as a beneficiary of the machine in question, to talk about its pluses and minuses. There were also offers with important discounts for some of the machines.
There was also an area for sharpening sails where Radu Hudea, the technical director, showed how to sharpen properly and what are the most common mistakes people make when sharpening sails. Here too, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and get answers, all done in an unhurried way, with a clear desire to find solutions to problems.
Relaxed atmosphere, interaction, exchange of ideas and...raffle prizes
At noon the participants were invited to lunch on the other side of the hall. Even though it was not far from the presentation area, the place was beautifully arranged, even elegant. During lunch the guests were treated to live local folk music. Then it was the turn of the raffle, the winning tickets being drawn from a bowl of 14 children who accompanied their parents to the event. By the way, the children had their own specially arranged fun zone.
Between 2.30pm when the draw ended and 4pm when the event was due to end, guests continued to stand by the machines, asking questions, asking about delivery dates, waiting times, spare parts and other such useful information.
There were a lot of participants and it was obvious that the event was expected. I understand that 400 people confirmed their attendance. A successful day where everyone seemed to have a good time. An opportunity for people working in the same field to meet, exchange impressions, maybe concerns, share ideas and solutions. A marketing idea that certainly strengthened the relationship with customers and not least the image of the company.
