After Bucharest, Brasov and Iasi, it was Cluj's turn to host the nZEB Roadshow caravan. The event dedicated to energy efficient buildings is organised by the pRO-nZEB Cluster in partnership with the șoflete.roand will take place from 3 to 6 November at the Multipurpose Hall - BT Arena. Admission is free, and those interested in how to build correctly, efficiently and sustainably can receive free information and advice from leading specialists in energy efficient building and passive houses. The organisers tell us it will be the biggest nZEB event in Romania and we have every reason to believe them. Interest in energy efficiency in buildings is high, we saw this at nZEB Roadshow event in Iasi.
nZEB Roadshow event
The energy crisis has not occurred in the last year. The issues of dwindling natural resources, fossil fuels and environmental protection have long been talked about worldwide. This has led to concern about sustainable consumption, reducing energy losses and finding alternative sources. As the greatest consumption of fossil fuels and the highest emissions of pollutants come from the domestic sector, it has been concluded that buildings should be constructed in such a way that energy losses are reduced as much as possible, if possible even close to zero (nZEB - near zero energy building). As a result, there is a European directive that requires us to build buildings that use zero conventional energy for maintenance.
The nZEB Roadshow is an event that aims to promote best practice in near-zero energy buildings and is free to the public so that information can reach those interested more easily.
The Cluj-Napoca edition, organized in partnership with the team șoflete.ro
The nZEB Roadshow event is organized in Romania by the Cluster for the Promotion of Nearly Zero Energy Buildings pRO-nZEB. Unlike the other editions, in Cluj-Napoca was involved in the organization of the event and șoflete.ro, a team that has been educating on energy efficient and sustainable building for three years.
For those who now want to build a strong and well-insulated house, Marius Șoflete is a reference name. Wherever we've filmed the erection of a new timber-frame house, beneficiaries have told us they've learned from Șoflete how to build an energy-efficient home. With the help of well-informed and straightforward technical video material, Marius manages to answer all the questions people have when they want to build or renovate a house. He is determined to change the way building is now seen and, as wesaid in an interview, its fundamental purpose is to teach people to build better.
Specialists in the field of efficient construction come to Cluj-Napoca
Same as the others shutdowns of the nZEB caravan and in Cluj-Napoca there will be specialised companies in the field of construction and energy efficiency, ready to answer questions, provide information and advice. There will be four full days of meetings, model discussions, workshops, presentations, conferences and debates. All offered free of charge, the aim is to build for a better and more responsible future. It will be a useful meeting for beneficiaries, builders and students, as well as an opportunity to find out what's new in the field, to discover modern materials and techniques.
If you are thinking of building a house in the next period, you are a builder or a student, make a note in your diary of the event in Cluj-Napoca on 3-6 November at the Sala Polivalentă - BT Arena. You'll have the chance to talk to a host of specialists who will offer free advice.
