After only two years on the Romanian machinery market, WoodMatic becomes sole distributor of KDT Machinery

From February 2022, Sanitop, owner of the brand WoodMatic, becomes sole distributor KDT Machineryafter only two years on the Romanian furniture machinery market. The well-known Asian manufacturer, with production and research capabilities in Europe and Asia, also owns the brand WDMAX for which WoodMatic has been a distributor for the past two years. The speed with which WoodMatic has established itself on the Romanian market has prompted representatives KDT Machinery to offer it exclusivity in Romania for the distribution of the machines they produce. The news was presented with enthusiasm by WoodMatic, honoured by the trust she received.

KDT Machinery, a colossus with production and research capacities on thousands of square meters

KDT Machinery is Asia's largest manufacturer of machinery for the furniture industry, one of the world leaders in the research and production of automated equipment and lines for furniture production. The company is headquartered in Guangzhou - China, has R&D centers in Italy and South Korea and production bases in Rimini, Italy and Chengdu, Sichuan, and is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. The company's portfolio includes automatic edge banding machines, moving table circular and packet forming machines, CNC milling and drilling machines, automatic production lines and even turnkey factories.

KDT is constantly developing and adapting to the market. After acquiring the Italian company Masterwood, known for its CNC production and innovations in the field, in 2018, it has focused on investing in new production capacity to meet the growing demand for machinery. The fourth plant, in Guangzhou, was commissioned at the end of 2020. With this new investment, the company's production capacity has increased by 50%.

In the last quarter of 2021, KDT started the construction of a production capacity for computer-controlled machines. With a usable area of 1600000 m², it will be one of the world's largest factories dedicated to intelligent machines in the furniture industry. Construction work will be completed in 2023. Once commissioned, the factory will have the capacity to produce 10,000 pieces of smart equipment annually. Package-forming circulars, drilling CNCs, milling CNCs and combination CNCs will be manufactured here.

WoodMatic plans for the future

WoodMatic's debut as a machinery distributor on the Romanian market took place at a very bad time. It was the beginning of the pandemic and everything seemed to stop in its tracks. The company's representatives took advantage of this period to catch up with the technical data on the machines and get as accurate and complete a picture of the market as possible.

When things got going again they started to conquer the market step by step, helped by a very good price/quality ratio on the machines they sold. The suspension of trade fairs was another disadvantage because they no longer had an organised framework in which to present their machines. So they started setting up a showroom in Comănești. It was not an easy investment, but absolutely necessary in the new situation.

WoodMatic's efforts were noticed by KDT Machinery, which decided to entrust it with the exclusive representation of the brand on the Romanian market.
