HOLZ-HANDWERK and FENSTERBAU FRONTALE fairs - 19-22 March 2024 in Nuremberg

After the special summer edition in 2022, HOLZ-HANDWERK and FENSTERBAU FRONTALE return to their regular programme. The combined fair will take place from 19-22 March 2024 and brings together the international woodworking sector and global players in the window, door and façade industry in Nuremberg. As usual, one trade fair ticket gives access to both events. Attendees will discover the most relevant trends in woodworking machinery, equipment and material technology as well as the latest developments and innovations in window, door and facade construction at the exhibitors' stands and in a diverse event programme.

At HOLZ-HANDWERK, around 320 already registered exhibitors will present the entire range of woodworking materials, covering the entire supply chain. Products can be tested directly at the exhibitors' stands. In a diverse exhibition programme with top speakers and key industry players, visitors will be able to take an in-depth look at new tools and technologies and - why not - enrich their knowledge.

Highlights of HOLZ-HANDWERK 2024

This year, the special exhibition of the Bavarian Carpentry Association-FSH "DesignObjekt - ObjektDesign" (Hall 11.0) focuses on sustainable product design. Here, carpenters will be able to delve deeper into sustainable product design and the opportunities it offers for the future.

The HOLZ-HANDWERK Campus (Hall 11.0) addresses the issues of support for the new generation of tradespeople and the shortage of qualified personnel. Various colleges and other vocational training institutions will present their facilities and provide information on training and professional development opportunities in woodworking and carpentry for beginners and professionals alike. An interesting idea that could be replicated in Romania.

An innovative approach to recruiting qualified staff will be highlighted for the first time at the JobMatch stand (Hall 7), organised by recruitment platform mehrmacher.de in collaboration with NürnbergMesse. In a system they call "reverse recruitment", the best employers in the industry present their companies and apply for qualified staff. During live interviews with employees and managers, potential job candidates can get a personal insight into their companies. The job application process can be completed on the spot, in just a few clicks, without the need for a resume. For employers, the JobMatch booth offers many benefits, including presentations from specialists in improving recruitment, retention and development of skilled staff, as well as industry reports.

In partnership with FENSTERBAU FRONTALE, the PRACTICAL GUIDE TO DIGITISATION Forum (Hall 7), which premiered in 2002, will enter the next round. In a combination of TED-style presentations, best practice reports, compact workshops and product presentations, the forum provides practical guidance for digitising operational processes.

At the Young Innovators Pavilion (Hall 7), subsidised by the German authorities, start-ups and young companies will present their innovative products to a professional audience.

Highlights of FENSTERBAU FRONTALE

HOLZ-HANDWERK visitors can also use their ticket to visit all events in the FENSTERBAU FRONTALE programme.

In the FRONT FENSTERBAU FORUM (Hall 7A), practical aspects of key topics such as sustainability, ventilation, installation, construction and renovation will be discussed.

At the special exhibition "Climate-safe building" (Hall 1), organised by ift Rosenheim and NürnbergMesse, the focus will be on CO2 efficiency and protection against extreme climate variations through sustainable windows, doors and facades. The theme of recycling will also be addressed.

The 11th Window Façade Architecture Forum (NCC Ost) on the theme "Rebuildable - Design・Durability・Resilience" with associated guided tours for architects, MetallbauTREFF (Hall 5), special exhibition areas "Focus on Interior Doors" and "Taste of windays", NCC Ost), as well as the two award ceremonies "Master Craftsman Award" ("Master Craftsman Award", FORUM FENSTERBAU FRONTALE, Hall 7A) and "Window Manufacturer of the Year 2024" (FORUM FENSTERBAU FRONTALE, Hall 7A) complete the exhibition programme.
